The new trend in weddings is to come up with a creative, unique way to have your guests sign something to remember all of those that shared your special day with you. Lately I’ve seen wall art that is signed, fingerprints signed on a tree, leaving a simple message to the couple, or even the traditional Wedding Guest Book signature. All awesome ideas that uniquely fit each couple.
Thankfully I have an amazing aunt who is a natural at sewing. She helped to come up with an awesome idea for my husband and I who wanted a Wedding Quilt. Each couple or family at the wedding signed a white square that was sewn into a big quilt.
Before the wedding she put a border around each white square so that no message was cut off when sewn into the quilt. We bought fabric markers that were easy for people to use when they wrote their lovely messages to us. We also provided clipboards just incase.
After the wedding, my aunt collected the squares and was able to sew them into a beautiful quilt that we keep in our living room.
If you don’t personally know someone who sews I’m sure there is a local person or shop that would be willing to help you with this idea for your wedding.
If you have done something similar post a photo or tell us how it went.
I hope you are able to create your unique guest book idea that fits you!
