If you’ve been following along with my blog posts you would know that I’m originally from New York and just recently moved to the Charlotte area to relocate for my husband’s job. It has been a huge change with a new home, no family around, and getting to know the new area.
So far I’ve loved the transition and am getting used to all the new aspects of my life, but the one thing that seems to make it all so worth it is this Carolina weather. The other day I ran errands in this dress and it was 62 degrees here, and 24 degrees in my hometown. That alone is worth the move down south.
Back in New York, January would be another sweater and boots month for me. Now that I’m in Charlotte I am loving that I get to wear these comfortable dresses to run errands when I leave the house.
Recently I received this adorable dress from PinkBlush, and it has been perfect for this time of year in the Carolina’s. For the last few months I wore tons of their maternity clothes, so when I learned that they also had women’s clothing I was all on board to try some of their regular items.
This Grey Striped Ruffle Trim dress is the perfect piece for this time of year. I love the light gray color, but it also comes in black or charcoal grey. If you like a dress with a cinched waistline this is the dress for you. It hugs my waist right where I want it to without being too tight. I absolutely love the ruffle trim bottom and sleeves which give it some character. The material is so soft but is thick enough to feel comfortable wearing. One of the best parts about it is this dress has pockets. C’mon ladies, you know you love a good pocket dress.
Check out PinkBlush‘s website for some of their adorable clothing items. If you’re interested in more outfit ideas with PinkBlush, check out some of my recent blog posts with some of their amazing pieces:

When I was approached by the owner of the shop Lynn and Grace about receiving a small lovey for my newborn I couldn’t say no! All the items in her shop are so sweet, and I loved that her shop’s name came from the middle names of her two daughters. Nothing is cuter than adorable family shops!
I had never heard the term “lovey” before, so I looked more into it on her site. A lovey is a small blanket that is created for your little one to easily snuggle and hold close. They can be easily thrown into the diaper bag, stroller or car seat and are easy for your little one to hold without fear of being too much for them to hold like a blanket.
I received my adorable Woodland Lovey before my daughter was even born. I could not believe how soft both sides were! The fabric side had the sweetest woodland pattern on it, and the faux fur was so comfortable to touch. I also love that it has a small looped ribbon attached making it easier to hook it on to a stroller, or even around your little ones arm so they don’t lose it. Now that Colette is here, she loves laying with this soft fur on her!
Currently, the Woodland Lovey I received is out of stock, but she has so many other ones to choose from as well as teethers and bonnets for your little one. Right now she is doing a buy one get one sale, and you can get free shipping when you use the code “BrittaShip”. Check out her adorable shop today!
Thank you to Lynn and Grace for sponsoring today’s post. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
I’ve learned that the biggest thing that comes with being a mom of girls is all the PINK. In our house, the ratio of things pink to any other color is about 9:1.
When you ask my two-year-old what her favorite color is she will say pink. That’s why when I let her choose her own insulated bottle from Herobility she naturally chose pink. Then when I asked her what color bottle and pacifiers we should get for her baby sister, well I’m assuming at this point you can guess what color was chosen.
That’s perfectly fine by me because I don’t mind pink, and the products from Herobility are the cutest little shade of blush pink. They have tons of other colors as well, but I wouldn’t know what those look like because my entire life is a giant shade of pink.
Herobility is a Swedish company that works to provide the best products for babies. They have many different items from bottles, pacifiers, and sippy cups to even small accessories for these products.
Margot constantly wants to use her Herobility insulated bottle which works great because it can keep things nice and cool for her, or warm if she is drinking something warmer. It’s easy for her to hold and grab, and it is her go-to cup to use.
Colette also has been using her Herobility pink bottle for her feedings. It’s the perfect size to hold and fits so well in her little mouth. She also loves her 0+ month pacifiers to suck on when she’s not feeding. I love that they even come with a pacifier holder so that I don’t have to worry about it getting dirty (especially when her older sister decides to place it under the couch).
Herobility has so many great products that you can use with your young children. I’m so happy that I’ve had the opportunity to work with them, and get to know their products.

I forget how much I snack when I’m breastfeeding. It seems like I am always hungry (although, is that really any different from my normal behavior?)
Recently I found the perfect healthy snack to munch on during the day when I’m feeling slightly hungry, and it helps to boost my supply if I find it getting low later in the day. Milkful is a company that makes gourmet lactation oat bars for breastfeeding mama’s in need of boosting their milk supply.
These bars are dairy free, soy free, egg free and wheat free. Their three flavors are Chocolate Banana Nut, Blueberry Almond Coconut, and Maple Walnut. They are the perfect size for when you need that little extra snack during your day filled with feeding babies, changing diapers and rocking that newborn to sleep. Just eating one bar a day can help boost that milk supply.
If you’re a new mama, struggling to breastfeed or make enough milk, I would definitely recommend trying these awesome bars! Check out their website here.

Recently I found the cutest little Etsy shop called Lila & Lilly. She makes the cutest little accessories for babies. Her shop sells swaddle sets, bows, bow turbans, and more. I received a swaddle blanket and a bow turban for my newborn little girl, and I am already obsessed with both!
The poly-spandex fabric makes it so easy to swaddle and hold your baby. It is so lightweight and buttery soft that I don’t want to put her down when she is wearing it! I am so excited that it is so stretchy because we will be using this sweet turban for as long as we can.
Check out her Etsy shop as well as her Instagram account to find more of her adorable items. These would make a beautiful baby shower gift, or would be perfect for your own sweet newborn!
A huge thank you to Lila & Lilly for sponsoring this post and for having the most adorable baby accessories! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Is there anything better than sharing a bunch of chocolate with your two-year-old daughter while you are 39 weeks pregnant? No, the answer is no. There is nothing better than that.
That is why I am so excited that we recently stumbled upon OCHO Candy. They make delicious organic chocolate with tons of amazing flavors to choose from. The OCHO stands for Organic CHOcolate, and being organic all of their products are GMO-free.
You can get their products in bars or in mini pouches. They do holiday subscriptions and birthday bundles, which make great gifts if you’re looking to give someone you love something yummy!
My favorite is either the dark or regular peanut butter, while Margot’s is by far the Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor which is perfect for kids. Check out their site, and try some of their amazing flavors.

This time of year is when my daughter and I start catching the dreaded colds. I know it’s inevitable, but we also learned a great way to keep it at bay with a few immune boosting recipes. The reason I say it’s “immune boosting” is that we add a little bit of Maty’s cough syrup. Now I know you may be thinking, “What? Cough syrup added to a recipe?”, but let me tell you it not only helps to boost that immune system it is so delicious as well.
Margot and I recently made a batch of Blueberry Banana Oatmeal that we added some Maty’s natural cough syrup. Their syrup is filled with all natural ingredients, and can easily be substituted for things like maple syrup or honey. That’s why I thought this recipe would be perfect for it, and it’s so easy.
Immune Boosting Blueberry Banana Oatmeal
- ½ cup old fashioned oats
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup milk
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ cup blueberries
- 1 tablespoon of Maty’s Cough Syrup
- First add the oats, water, milk and half of a thinly sliced banana into a medium-sized saucepan. Turn the heat to medium and cook until the oats begin to bubble. Then stir until oats are cooked and creamy (about 3 minutes).
- Next, remove the pan from heat and then stir in the brown sugar and vanilla.
- Pour the contents into a bowl and top with the remaining half of sliced banana, blueberries, and Maty’s Cough Syrup.
Thank you to Maty’s for sponsoring this post, and for having the most amazing, natural products that I trust to use with my child. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
