Florals in the Fall

Well, we can’t always match, so when we can’t match we at least have to coordinate right? Today Margot and I each wore some of my favorite fall finds that both happen to be floral.

Her Floral Ruffled Long-sleeve Dress from PatPat is still a tad big on her, but I hope that just means she can wear it for a while! My favorite part about her dress is the adorable ruffle sleeves. I thought they might get in her way while playing, but they didn’t bother her one bit! It is such a great length for her, and the material was very high quality. Currently, her dress is on sale from $34.99 to $24.99. It also comes in a soft gray-blue color as well.

My Teal Floral Fitted Maternity Wrap Dress from PinkBlush is so comfortable and fits like a glove. It’s a great thick material so it hugged those curves in all the right places without making me feel like it was too tight. This dress is on a major sale right now from $57 to $36, and that is an amazing price for how it fits and feels. It also comes in a pink color with burnt orange florals which is perfect for fall.

Mommy and Me Matching Cardigans with PinkBlush

Mommy and me matchingFall weather

Just when I thought I could not love PinkBlush more, I stumble upon their kid’s section. This could get dangerous.

Recently I received the softest, long light gray cardigan from PinkBlush that I am absolutely in love with. It is so comfortable and perfect for this fall weather we’re finally starting to get. It can easily be worn with a cute top and jeans or is perfect to throw on when you’re just going to wear a simple pair of leggings around the house.

The best part is that I found a long gray cardigan that my daughter can also wear during this autumn season from PinkBlush. It is so easy to just throw on her before we go somewhere, and she just looks too cute in it! Although she is still wearing 2T clothes, they are slowly phasing out, so although this 3T is a little big right now, she can wear it for months to come.

I am so excited for this crisp fall weather, and for more adorable matching finds that I’ll be looking for at PinkBlush!

Comfy and Ready for Fall

Sweater: TJMaxx | Sleeveless Cardigan: Dresslily | Jeans: Nordstrom | Boots: Target

This is the hard transition when my brain is into everything fall, but the weather is not. The mornings here in New York start off slightly chilly, but it’s usually a comfortable 70 degrees by the end of the day. That is why I love outfits that can suit both temperatures, without making me freeze or sweat.

I am currently crushing on sleeveless knit cardigans like this one from Dresslily. It is so thick and soft for these fall temps, but can still keep me comfortable if it heats up. It is out of stock right now, but I will keep you posted when it comes back in.

Right now at Dresslily you can use the code BRITTA to get 12% off over $25. They have tons of other adorable tops and cardigans that are perfect for this transition from summer to fall.

Enjoy your fall weather, friends!

The Sweetest Moccasin Boots with Gracious May

How sweet are these little suede moccasin boots from Gracious May? They are the perfect shoe for our two-year-old daughter, and I’ve never loved shoes for her more. The chestnut brown color is great for fall and matches so many of her outfits.

Not only are they simply adorable, but they fit her so perfectly. She normally is a size 6-7 for shoes, and these size 7’s fit her like a glove. These moccasins are so easy to get her feet into, and they zip up and stay up without her being able to kick them off.

They also offer four other colors that are equally as adorable, and I may have to splurge on another pair for Margot. Check out Gracious May’s website to find these sweet moccasins, as well as tons of other sweet children’s products all made in the USA.

How Carrying My Mom Purse Helped Me Purge the Clutter in My Life

Processed with VSCO with t1 presetProcessed with VSCO with t1 preset

Top: DressLily | Jeans: Nordstrom | Boots: Nordstrom | Bag: Louis Vuitton

Before I had a mini me that traveled everywhere with me I always wore a crossbody purse. It was easy to grab, simple to carry, and held all sorts of stuff.

Then I became a mom. There are now many essentials that need to leave the house with us. Sometimes I will bring the diaper bag with us, although I hate lugging that thing around. I tried putting my items into the diaper bag for a while, but they got lost and cluttered. I have finally found the happy medium by carrying around a wide purse that holds all my essentials and her essentials. Lately I’ve been leaving the diaper bag home, and I’ve never felt so free.

I stopped carrying items that I didn’t need. Items I always said to myself, “Maybe I’ll use this at some point”, but never did. There were so many things I purged, which made room for the important things in my bag.

Next I thought to myself that this is something I could do in other places of my life as well. I started in my closet. I pulled out all sorts of clothes that I thought, “Maybe I’ll wear this at some point”. Let’s face it, if you haven’t worn it in years, you probably won’t be wearing it anytime soon. All of a sudden I had more room in my closet, and that has never been the case.

This continued with kitchen utensils, other accessories, shoes, books, purses, DVD’s, toys, and so on. Here are three things I started asking myself to begin decluttering my life.

Ask yourself, “When is the last time I used this?”

If you have no idea what the answer is, then get rid of it!

Ask yourself, “Am I only keeping this to hold onto a memory?”

I had shabby, old sweatshirts that I got in Boston and Syracuse that I never wore because they were… old and shabby. I loved my trips to those cities, and hated to throw away the clothing I brought home from there, but there is no use holding on to something simply for a memory.

Ask yourself, “Does it make you happy?”

If you keep something just to simply have it around then it is not worth taking up your space.

Decluttering is such a good feeling, and it allows you to see the essentials that you love and need in your life. Start by decluttering one part of your life and move on to the next. I promise you won’t regret it.
