The Perfect Lactation Bars with Milkful

new-mom.jpgbreastfeedingnew mamabreastfeeding-mama.jpg

I forget how much I snack when I’m breastfeeding. It seems like I am always hungry (although, is that really any different from my normal behavior?)

Recently I found the perfect healthy snack to munch on during the day when I’m feeling slightly hungry, and it helps to boost my supply if I find it getting low later in the day. Milkful is a company that makes gourmet lactation oat bars for breastfeeding mama’s in need of boosting their milk supply.

These bars are dairy free, soy free, egg free and wheat free. Their three flavors are Chocolate Banana Nut, Blueberry Almond Coconut, and Maple Walnut. They are the perfect size for when you need that little extra snack during your day filled with feeding babies, changing diapers and rocking that newborn to sleep. Just eating one bar a day can help boost that milk supply.

If you’re a new mama, struggling to breastfeed or make enough milk, I would definitely recommend trying these awesome bars! Check out their website here.

Delicious Organic Snack with OCHO Candy

ToddlerDelicious ChocolateHealthy SnackToddler SnackOrganicOrganic ChocolateOrganic CandyOCHO

Is there anything better than sharing a bunch of chocolate with your two-year-old daughter while you are 39 weeks pregnant? No, the answer is no. There is nothing better than that.

That is why I am so excited that we recently stumbled upon OCHO Candy. They make delicious organic chocolate with tons of amazing flavors to choose from. The OCHO stands for Organic CHOcolate, and being organic all of their products are GMO-free.

You can get their products in bars or in mini pouches. They do holiday subscriptions and birthday bundles, which make great gifts if you’re looking to give someone you love something yummy!

My favorite is either the dark or regular peanut butter, while Margot’s is by far the Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor which is perfect for kids. Check out their site, and try some of their amazing flavors.

Immune Boosting Blueberry Banana Oatmeal Recipe with Maty’s

Recipes for kidsYummy toddler recipesToddler helpingToddler recipesToddler RecipeToddler BakingKid helpingKids recipesToddlers in the kitchenOatmeal

This time of year is when my daughter and I start catching the dreaded colds. I know it’s inevitable, but we also learned a great way to keep it at bay with a few immune boosting recipes. The reason I say it’s “immune boosting” is that we add a little bit of Maty’s cough syrup. Now I know you may be thinking, “What? Cough syrup added to a recipe?”, but let me tell you it not only helps to boost that immune system it is so delicious as well.

Margot and I recently made a batch of Blueberry Banana Oatmeal that we added some Maty’s natural cough syrup. Their syrup is filled with all natural ingredients, and can easily be substituted for things like maple syrup or honey. That’s why I thought this recipe would be perfect for it, and it’s so easy.

  3. Pour the contents into a bowl and top with the remaining half of sliced banana, blueberries, and Maty’s Cough Syrup.

A Healthy Pregnancy with Promise Prenatal

Maternity

Every week I use an app on my phone to determine what size the baby is, how the baby’s body is developing, and any common pregnancy symptoms this mama may be feeling as well. It always amazes me to see the different senses baby is developing, and how this little human is continually growing inside my own body.

It can be a lot of pressure for a pregnant mama to make sure that she is staying healthy, eating right, and getting enough exercise. That’s why it’s a relief to know that companies like Promise Prenatal put mothers and babies first with every single product they create.

Promise Prenatal has created prenatal vitamins for each trimester with mom and baby in mind, including before pregnancy as well as postpartum. Currently, I am taking the Stage 2 vitamins which I will take through the second and third trimesters. Stage 2 follows the recommendations from the National Institute of Medicine to increase iron at the beginning of your second trimester to help prevent anemia, which is common later in pregnancy. It also provides higher concentrations of vitamin C, calcium and magnesium which mother and baby need during this period of extraordinary growth, and is made from all natural ingredients.

I have also been using Promise Prenatal’s Stretch Mark & Scar Oil. Every time I get out of the shower I rub a little on my growing bump to help prevent stretch marks. It is made from 100% organic oils and helps to maintain healthy, soft & supple skin throughout this pregnancy. Because this is my second pregnancy it feels as though everything is growing so much faster than before. I am so thankful to have this stretch mark oil to help prevent any unwanted stretch marks and lines.

One of my favorite things about Promise Prenatal is that with every purchase they give a mom in a developing country prenatal nutrition. They are a company that truly cares for the health and well being of all mothers and babies.

I may not be the perfect pregnant mother, but Promise Prenatal makes it so much easier knowing I am taking something healthy and safe for my baby and I.

The Sippy Cup I Want To Steal From My Daughter

Processed with VSCO with t1 presetProcessed with VSCO with t1 presetProcessed with VSCO with t1 preset

When it comes to sippy cups my daughter definitely has a new favorite. She loves her Twist Shake sippy cup, and I can certainly see why because even I want to use it.

Twist Shake is a company in Sweden that has recently expanded their sales to the United States. They not only have the best sippy cups, but they have adorable tableware as well. From spoons and forks to plates and cups this company has made it their mission to make sure your baby is eating happy and healthy. They are BPA-free and have so many beautiful colors to choose from.

This sippy cup from Twist Shake is no ordinary sippy cup. Although it can be used like a regular sippy cup, it’s most amazing feature is that it is a mini fruit infuser for your baby.

Twist Shake offers free shipping on orders over $25, and your order is shipped within 1-3 business days. When you use the code brittalivengood20 you save 20% off your purchase! This is the perfect gift for a baby shower or a christmas gift for a little one you know.

Let me tell you about this awesome little cup.

For an easy fruit infused water recipe just add one or two strawberries and about half a lemon.

It’s so easy to use.

This cup could not be easier to use. It’s easy to open, clean, put in fruit and easy for your baby to suck on. Once the fruit is cut up, place it inside, add water and shake. This cup is so simple!

It’s healthy for your child.

Not only is your child staying hydrated with water, but they are getting the infused waters’ healthy antioxidants and vitamins from those yummy fruits. If your child does not usually drink water, this sneaky cup will get them to start!

Mess free is the way to be.

The sippy cup comes with a plastic insert so water can only exit when the child sucks on it. This means that it is a “no spill” cup, which makes one happy mama.

Baby can carry it herself.

There is a hook at the top so it’s easy for mom or baby to carry around. Some of the smaller cups even have side handles so it’s easy for them to grip.

This cup even got MAMA drinking more water!

After cutting up some yummy fruit for my daughter’s drink there was still plenty left over to throw into my drink as well! This Twist Shake cup is giving me a reason to drink more water for myself also.
