The Perfect Maternity Top to Transition from Summer to Fall

maternity-fashion.jpg

My favorite season has always been autumn. When the slightest hint of fall comes around you can bet that I will unpack my cooler weather clothes, pull out my fall scented candles, and grab a pumpkin spice latte at the nearest coffee shop ASAP.

The only problem is that sometimes it’s a little too warm to pull out the fall clothes right away. This is when I pull out my transition pieces from summer and fall and they are just as fun to wear as those comfy sweaters.

My recent favorite find is this adorable Ivory Floral Chiffon Ruffle Trim Maternity Blouse from PinkBlush. This is the absolute perfect top to begin wearing during this fall weather when the days are not quite cool enough for sweaters but still slightly warm outside.

It still has a summer floral feel but has beautiful long chiffon sleeves which are perfect for autumn. This shirt is adorable and is so comfortable to wear. I especially love the cinched sleeves and the ruffle trim front that give it a unique look.

This is definitely a top that I will be continuing to wear after pregnancy. Check out so many more adorable maternity tops from PinkBlush that will lead you right from summer to fall.

A Healthy Pregnancy with Promise Prenatal

Maternity

Every week I use an app on my phone to determine what size the baby is, how the baby’s body is developing, and any common pregnancy symptoms this mama may be feeling as well. It always amazes me to see the different senses baby is developing, and how this little human is continually growing inside my own body.

It can be a lot of pressure for a pregnant mama to make sure that she is staying healthy, eating right, and getting enough exercise. That’s why it’s a relief to know that companies like Promise Prenatal put mothers and babies first with every single product they create.

Promise Prenatal has created prenatal vitamins for each trimester with mom and baby in mind, including before pregnancy as well as postpartum. Currently, I am taking the Stage 2 vitamins which I will take through the second and third trimesters. Stage 2 follows the recommendations from the National Institute of Medicine to increase iron at the beginning of your second trimester to help prevent anemia, which is common later in pregnancy. It also provides higher concentrations of vitamin C, calcium and magnesium which mother and baby need during this period of extraordinary growth, and is made from all natural ingredients.

I have also been using Promise Prenatal’s Stretch Mark & Scar Oil. Every time I get out of the shower I rub a little on my growing bump to help prevent stretch marks. It is made from 100% organic oils and helps to maintain healthy, soft & supple skin throughout this pregnancy. Because this is my second pregnancy it feels as though everything is growing so much faster than before. I am so thankful to have this stretch mark oil to help prevent any unwanted stretch marks and lines.

One of my favorite things about Promise Prenatal is that with every purchase they give a mom in a developing country prenatal nutrition. They are a company that truly cares for the health and well being of all mothers and babies.

I may not be the perfect pregnant mother, but Promise Prenatal makes it so much easier knowing I am taking something healthy and safe for my baby and I.

The Perfect Maternity Dress For All Occasions

Just when I thought I couldn’t love Pink Blush more, I received the most perfect maternity dress from them! I have purchased many maternity dresses from Pink Blush, but I have never received so many compliments on a single dress as I have this one. After wearing this dress for my daughter’s birthday party I had tons of comments and questions on the dress so I thought I’d give a little more information here on the blog. It’s called the Pink Hibiscus Floral Maternity Maxi Dress, and I couldn’t love it more.

You can wear it casually or formally.

It’s the perfect dress for all occasions. It is a great party dress, could be dressed up with heels for a more formal setting like a wedding, or could simply be paired with a jean jacket to wear casually out to dinner.

Second Birthday

The pattern and color are so flattering.

The light pink color is such a sweet, flattering color for any pregnant mama. The hibiscus floral pattern is simple and not too busy on the dress, which gives it a classic look.

Pink Blush

It is so comfortable.

This dress is made of the softest polyester and spandex material which gives it a great flow and is slightly stretchy to perfectly fit that growing belly. You will not want to take this dress off.

Second Birthday Party

It has pockets.

I mean, do I need to say more?

Maternity dresses

It fits like a glove.

When I am not growing a human I typically wear a size small. This dress is a size small and fits perfectly with every measurement.

Pregnancy Clothes

It can be worn after pregnancy.

This dress has the perfect fit to be worn during pregnancy as well as after pregnancy. The cinched waistline falls right under the bust to make it comfortable anytime you choose to wear it.

Check this dress out, and check out other adorable maternity clothes from Pink Blush!

It’s a Girl!

Gender reveal

Well, thank you for your patience as we told all of our friends and family the news of the gender reveal first! If you’ve read the title by now you’ve realized that it’s a GIRL! We would have been happy either way, but we are so thrilled to be having another girl, and a sister for Margot.

I’m also excited because I love pink, and it’s certainly going to be easy to match my daughters with all the pink around this house.

A few weeks ago I wrote about my favorite maternity store, PinkBlush (check out that blog post here). Recently I found this adorable pink long sleeve cold shoulder maternity top that had the cutest ruffle on it from them. It is so soft and comfortable to wear, as well as super cute. I definitely will be wearing this throughout my entire pregnancy, as well as postpartum. Check out more of their adorable maternity tops on their website.

The best part about PinkBlush is that they not only have women’s clothing they now offer so many adorable outfits for newborns and children. I cannot wait to continue matching with my daughters through PinkBlush!

Let’s hope that this next girl is as sweet, silly and sassy as her older sister!

Cute Weekly Bump Picture Idea with Toddler

When I was pregnant with my oldest I never did the bump pictures. I felt weird standing in front of a camera by myself to take a picture of my growing bump each week, especially since it didn’t grow all that fast for a while. Looking back on it, I wish I had because it really is amazing to see the progression of the growing human inside the body. That is why I decided the second time around that I would capture at least most of the weeks. The only difference was this time I had a little helper that wanted in on the pictures as well.

I thought in order to remember exactly how big the baby was, I would try to hold the fruit or vegetable that baby was the size of in the picture each week. The only problem with that, is some fruits and veggies are not always in season when it’s time to post a picture of that baby in your belly, so I had to get a little creative with a few. Each week I bought two so that I could hold one, and my daughter could hold the other.
