Delicious Organic Snack with OCHO Candy

ToddlerDelicious ChocolateHealthy SnackToddler SnackOrganicOrganic ChocolateOrganic CandyOCHO

Is there anything better than sharing a bunch of chocolate with your two-year-old daughter while you are 39 weeks pregnant? No, the answer is no. There is nothing better than that.

That is why I am so excited that we recently stumbled upon OCHO Candy. They make delicious organic chocolate with tons of amazing flavors to choose from. The OCHO stands for Organic CHOcolate, and being organic all of their products are GMO-free.

You can get their products in bars or in mini pouches. They do holiday subscriptions and birthday bundles, which make great gifts if you’re looking to give someone you love something yummy!

My favorite is either the dark or regular peanut butter, while Margot’s is by far the Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor which is perfect for kids. Check out their site, and try some of their amazing flavors.

Immune Boosting Blueberry Banana Oatmeal Recipe with Maty’s

This time of year is when my daughter and I start catching the dreaded colds. I know it’s inevitable, but we also learned a great way to keep it at bay with a few immune boosting recipes. The reason I say it’s “immune boosting” is that we add a little bit of Maty’s cough syrup. Now I know you may be thinking, “What? Cough syrup added to a recipe?”, but let me tell you it not only helps to boost that immune system it is so delicious as well.

Margot and I recently made a batch of Blueberry Banana Oatmeal that we added some Maty’s natural cough syrup. Their syrup is filled with all natural ingredients, and can easily be substituted for things like maple syrup or honey. That’s why I thought this recipe would be perfect for it, and it’s so easy.

Immune Boosting Blueberry Banana Oatmeal

  • ½ cup old fashioned oats
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon of Maty’s Cough Syrup
  1. First add the oats, water, milk and half of a thinly sliced banana into a medium-sized saucepan. Turn the heat to medium and cook until the oats begin to bubble. Then stir until oats are cooked and creamy (about 3 minutes).
  2. Next, remove the pan from heat and then stir in the brown sugar and vanilla.
  3. Pour the contents into a bowl and top with the remaining half of sliced banana, blueberries, and Maty’s Cough Syrup.
  4. Enjoy!

Simply Adorable Headbands for Toddlers with Zelda Matilda

Zelda MatildaHeadbands for toddlersToddler HairToddler HeadbandEasy headbandsToddler Headbands

I have a child who has pretty much always had a head in the 100th percentile. Big head means big brains, right? Well, I can tell you it also means it’s pretty much impossible to find things that fit that giant head of hers. I cannot tell you how many times I have purchased headbands for Margot and they simply don’t fit her big melon.

I am so excited to finally say that I have found the best headbands that fit my daughter’s head perfectly! Zelda Matilda headbands are not only the cutest colors, beautifully simple, but also have the best elastic band that fits around her head without being too tight.

Recently Margot received the Shabby Chiffon collection which includes 18 sweet and vibrant colors. They are so simple with small little flower rosettes. Margot has never been one to keep giant headbands on her head, so the fact that these just have one sweet little flower is the perfect accessory for her head.

Check out these sweet headbands on Amazon for only $12.99!

A, B to JAY-Z

ABCABC'sReading ToddlerReadingThe Little HomieToddler ReadingChildren's BooksJay z

Margot has been obsessed with the alphabet lately, so when The Little Homie reached out to us about two of their books we could not resist. One of their best sellers is a book called, “A, B to JAY-Z” and is a children’s book about the alphabet. Each page represents a rapper or singer that begins with that letter and shows a picture of them doing something, usually with the letter that correlates with them.

Another book The Little Homie sells is called, “1, 2, 3 with the Notorious B.I.G“, and counts up to twenty with different rappers as well. Each page shows a different rapper doing something with a different number starting from one to twenty and goes along with lyrics to one of their songs.

I love that these books are made for children, but definitely are a fun read for their millennial parents who grew up with a lot of these singers and rappers. It is also such a great way to spread some diversity and culture into a child’s home library, especially because every caricature in these books is a real person.

These books are the perfect thing for your child, but would also make a fabulous baby shower gift! You should definitely check out The Little Homie, and more of their amazing books on their site!

The Sweetest Moccasin Boots with Gracious May

Moccasinsbaby-booties.jpg

How sweet are these little suede moccasin boots from Gracious May? They are the perfect shoe for our two-year-old daughter, and I’ve never loved shoes for her more. The chestnut brown color is great for fall and matches so many of her outfits.

Not only are they simply adorable, but they fit her so perfectly. She normally is a size 6-7 for shoes, and these size 7’s fit her like a glove. These moccasins are so easy to get her feet into, and they zip up and stay up without her being able to kick them off.

They also offer four other colors that are equally as adorable, and I may have to splurge on another pair for Margot. Check out Gracious May’s website to find these sweet moccasins, as well as tons of other sweet children’s products all made in the USA.

Margot’s Second Birthday!

Birthday Girl

I cannot believe this little girl is already TWO! Everyone told me, “don’t blink, it goes so fast!”, but I did not think time would move as quickly as it has!

We had a fabulous, simple birthday for Margot. Just a small family party, with pizza and wings and a few yummy snacks.

My proud mama moment was the Princess Sofia cupcakes that we made for her. She has been obsessed with Princess Sofia. After making the cupcakes, we made a homemade purple buttercream that we piped along the top. We then placed candy pearls along the cupcake to look like Princess Sofia’s dress. For the birthday girl, we cut out a small Sofia from the waist up and placed her on a special cupcake to make it look like the cupcake was her dress. It turned out better than I could have imagined, and the whole process was so easy!

I also received so many compliments on Margot’s dress which we got on sale at Old Navy for so cheap. I loved the color, but also how simple the dress was.

Toddler Birthday

We did not go overboard for this party and I am so glad. It was perfectly simple just the way we liked it, and it could not have been a more beautiful day to celebrate our little girl.
